Caitlin Krause is a globally recognized experienced designer, author and keynote speaker. She founded the interactive studio and consultancy MindWise in 2015, and she teaches about digital wellbeing, AI, and XR at Stanford University and the University of Oregon.
Caitlin has authored the books Digital Wellbeing: Empowering Connection with Wonder and Imagination in the Age of AI (2024), Digital Satori (2023), Designing Wonder: Leading Transformative Experiences in XR (2021), and Mindful by Design (2019). Her drive is to help individuals and teams navigate complexity and change in the future of thriving, prioritizing wellbeing, collaboration, and creativity.
She advises organizations including TED, The U.S. Air Force, LinkedIn, Google, Meta, Oracle, Evernote, and the U.S. State Department. She creates digital therapeutics and social experiences in XR, fusing presence, storytelling, meditation, and emotional intelligence. She presented about emotional intelligence, storysharing, and awe-inspired spatial computing at the main TED conference in Vancouver.
She holds a BA from Duke University and an MFA from Lesley University with a focus on poetry. Her latest book, Digital Wellbeing (Wiley Press) celebrated its release on September 24, 2024. One of her tenets is that learning and leadership should always involve elements of play; her favorite video game growing up was The Legend of Zelda. Great stories always start with a map. She believes in embracing creative constraints, living a life filled with moments of wonder, and connecting with passion, purpose and presence.
